Oceanside Cove is excited to learn about the changes that are starting to be made to the pandemic guidelines by the CDC. While mask mandates have been updated by the CDC, please keep in mind that many aspects of the Covid requirements issued by the Nassau County Health Department remain unchanged. When these guidelines change enough for us to change our policies, we will certainly comply and notify all residents.
To clarify the CDC guideliness and how they affect us in Oceanside Cove, because mask guidelines have been eased, without other guideliness relaxing much of how we are currently operating must remain the same.
While the good news is are that things are moving in a positive direction, restrictions on operations have not been lifted by the Health Department. This means that as of now the pool will be opening Memorial Day Weekend, May 29th following last year's guideliness and this restricts opening the Health Club and Clubhouses at this time.
Guidelines are changing fast and they take time to make their way to local government. Just because this is happening today, does not mean it will not change tomorrow. Please check back frequently as we update this information as soon as it can be passed along to you. Please also be mindful when calling the office for updates that Oceanside Cove staff is working in the busiest time of our year to get the pool open, sprinklers on and grounds going for a successful summer season. Any new information is being shared as quickly as we get it!
As always, once new guidelines come out and there is a change to our operation we will send out a notice to shareholders, and post an update here.
The health department guideliness for the pool remain in affect from last year at this time. One of the most wanted answers is "Can we bring guests?" At this time the health department has kept the restriction to residents only. Similar to last year, residents are required to bring a cove issued ID, check in and adhear to social distancing guidelines. Staff is required to close the facility mid day for sanitation.
Reservations for the pool can be made through the phone system during pool operating hours. On Thursday 5/27 and Friday 5/28 we will open the reservation phone lines to give everyone an opportunity to make a reservation for the opening weekend only! After opening weekend reservations must be made on the weekend when the pool is open, either in person or over the phone. Please keep that in mind and plan accordingly to schedule the following weekend while the pool is still open. Once we open full time reservations can be made in person at the pool check in or on the phone system during normal pool hours, weather permitting.
The pool will open 7 days a week begining at the end of June as it always has. Please review the post from April 30 for further detailed clarification of the pool rules and procedures!
Weather permitting, the pool will be opening this year the weekend of Memorial Day!
The pool will open weekends only beginning Memorial Day and through June, similar to pre-covid years.
The pool will have two shifts, similar to last year, one AM and one PM shift per day and reservations can be made in advance to secure a space at the pool.
Morning - 10:00AM to 1:30PM
Afternoon - 2:30PM to 6:00PM
The health department requires the following guidelines to remain in effect this year.
