The HOA Board met on June 23, 2021 to discuss our pool operating protocols. There was much to discuss including communications from residents, pool usage data, and of course the Nassau County Department of Health requirements, which still have restrictions for the unvaccinated.
Please note that our residents are greatly divided in their opinions about Covid, lock downs, safety and what they wantfor our community. The Board continues to seek the middle road, balancing the wants, needs, desires and requirements of our large and diverse community.
Several changes resulted from the meeting which are meaningful to the vaccinated people. Effective Monday, 6/28/21,when the pools open seven days a week, reservations will no longer be required and there will be no assigned seats to use the vaccinated pool. Everyone will still need to check in with the pool staff prior to entering the pools to confirm their residency and vaccination status. Previously the mask and social distancing requirements were removed in line with the changes from the Health Department. Lastly, there will be no “sessions” for use of the vaccinated pool.
Basically, youcan come, go and roam within that pool area as you desire.
The unvaccinated pool still has mask and social distance requirements as required by the Health Department.
Reservations will still be required, and morning and afternoon sessions will still remain.
Perhaps the biggest change is that guests will be allowed at both pools Monday through Friday. As always, guests must be accompanied by a resident. There is a limit of four guests per unit.
